Cathy Quartner Bailey, President of Quartner and Associates, LLC, works as a coach and workshop facilitator for executive and emerging leaders. Her area of expertise is Mindful Leadership with focus on leadership presence, communication, conflict management, emotional intelligence, and employee engagement strategies.

Cathy is passionate about helping clients incorporate practical mindfulness strategies into their busy lives. She recently published Show Up as Your Best: Mindful Leaders, Meditation, & More and completed a certificate in MBSR (mindfulness based stress reduction) from University of Massachusetts Medical Center. 

Cathy's style is direct, honest, and supportive. She partners with clients to help them understand the link between leadership and being mindful with focus on "how I show up" versus being stuck in "doing" mode. 

Cathy has coached individuals from American Express, A.T. Kearney, Barry Callebaut, Campbell Soup, Daiichi-Sankyo, EuroRSCG, Elsevier, Firmenich, GlaxoSmithkline, Google, Johnson & Johnson, HSBC, Kraft, L-3 Communications, Mathematica, Mattel, Met Life, Pinnacle Foods, PricewaterhouseCoopers, PSE&G, Sanofi, Savills Studley, TD Ameritrade, TD Bank, United Health Group, and Wharton. In addition to coaching, Cathy has facilitated workshops for Barclays Capital, Barry Callebaut, Johnson & Johnson, Kraft, Mathematica, Merck, Neutrogena, NYU, and Siemens.

She currently works with Wharton's MBA leadership program as an executive coach and has taught Powerful Tools for Coaching Business Leaders at NYU’s Leadership and Human Capital Department.

Cathy offers clients strategic marketing expertise and knowledge of the politics present in organizations based on her experience working at British Airways, Lippincott-Margulies, Warner-Lambert, The Maier Group (Buns of Steel), and The Federal Reserve Board.

She earned an MBA from The University of Chicago Booth, a Certificate in Health Administration Services from The University of Chicago, and a BA from Emory in Economics. Cathy is a NYU Certified Organizational and Executive Coach, trained in the Immunity-to-Change approach by Harvard faculty Kegan and Lahey, a Certified Professional Behavioral Analyst, and was PCC certified by the International Coaching Federation.

In addition to working with seasoned executives, Cathy has coached college and MBA students from schools including Wharton, Georgetown, and Tulane who are interested in getting ahead of the curve.

On a personal note, she lives in New Jersey with her husband and two children. She is passionate about meditation, yoga (she is a 200-hour certified yoga instructor) , loves skiing, walking her dogs, and hosting pizza dinner parties. Cathy also enjoys volunteering and supporting Sheltered Yoga – a wonderful organization committed to bringing emotional learning, life skills, and mindfulness to underserved populations of women and children.
